문자도형자

문자는 어딘가에 새겨질 때 힘을 가진다. 1987년 6월의 외 침의 현장에서 사용된 현수막의 손글씨체를 바탕으로 한글 도형자를 제작한다. 이번에 제작하는 도형자의 글씨는 일반 적으로는 판매되지 않는 높이 50mm의 큰 글자이다.

Character is empowered when inscribed on some kind of surface. Based on the handwriting found on a banner used during the June Uprising of 1987, Kim created a Hangeul figure ruler. The dimension of the characters of this ruler is 50mm, an unusually large size which is not usually commercialized.

김종범은 디자인 콜렉티브 노네임노샵에서 각종 가구 및 장치물을 제작하고 있다. 또한 작업실 동료 이혜연과 스핀오프팀 Ab group, 엔지니어 최종언과 서울과학사로도 활동중이다.

Kim Jongbuhm creates various furniture and devices at the Design Collective Nonamenoshop. Additionally, Kim is also currently active as member of a spin-off team Ab group with studio colleague Lee Hyeyeon, and as member of Seoul Model Factory with engineer Choi Jong-un.
