휘리릭 챔버
한 공간에 문을 열고 들어갈 때 혹은 들어오는 사람을 맞이할 때 우리는 복합적인 감정을 느낀다. 반가운 손님이 문을 열고 들어오면 그 사람과 함께 밝은 에너지가 ‘휘리릭’하고 함께 들어온다. 아픈 몸으로 문을 열기 전엔 근심 어린 심호흡을 한 번 ‘휘리릭’ 내뱉는다. '휘리릭'은 무언가 지나가거나 재빠른 동작을 표현하는 한국의 의태어이다. 그리고 이러한 특징을 잘 간직하고 있는 페인트 롤러는 붓질과 달리 망설임이 없이 휘리릭하고 획을 긋는 도구이다. 롤러 너비만큼의 획이 그어지는 것이다. 이 재료를 이용하여 문 앞에 설치할 수 있는 발을 만들어보았다. 발의 앞 뒷면에는 입구와 출구를 표현하는 사인을 담고 있다. 한 번쯤 문을 열고 닫는 소리를 느껴보아라. 휘리릭하고 문을 나설 때 어떤 기분일까?
Whi-ri-rik Chamber
Mixed emotions pass by when you open the door to go into other room or when you greet others who comes in to the room. When charming people comes in, their pleasant energy comes along ' Whi-ri-rik' with them. Before opening the door with tired body, you naturally ' Whi-ri-rik’ exhale a rather deep breathing. Whi-ri-rik is an expression that Koreans often use when describing something passing in quick-move. Unlike painting brush, roller are for those who paint the wall without a hesitation (in rather ‘Whi-ri-rik’ mode). Using the roller, let’s make a hanging screen that the entrance and the exit signs are printed on the front and the real. Enjoy the sound of ‘Whi-ri-rik’ when you open the door with the hanging screen.

들토끼들은 그래픽 디자인을 공통의 관심으로 두고 대량 복제 가능한 방식에서부터 수작업의 방식까지 다양한 시각적 표현 방식을 탐구하는 2인조 그룹이다. 2017년 1월에 결성한 들토끼들은 영어로는 WildRabbits라고 번역할 수 있지만 한국어 소리를 그대로 옮겨와 ‘dl.tokki.dl’이라 부르기로 한다.
